Caserta show moved to different venue

The concert in Caserta, Italia (October 8th) has changed venue. The concert will now be held at the small arena Palamaggio, instead of the original venue (I Giardini della Reggia).

The Italian ministry for Cultural Real Estate has denied permission for the use of the gardens at the Reggia.

One show from Italy to be broadcast on radio

The italian news agency ANSA has informed that one of Bruce’s seven shows in Italy will be taped and then broadcast on Radio 1 (Italy) on friday Oct. 13 at 21.00h. Apparently it will be a full concert and the show to be broadcast will be choosen by Bruce himself (you can listen to the show with RealPlayer at http://www.radio.rai.it/)

At the same time italian newspaper Corriere della Sera has annnounced today a very special contest: 10 winners (for each one of the italian shows) will win a special prize: attend the soundcheck before the show, meet Bruce and get the American Land CD signed by Bruce.

Check the paper’s web site for more info. To participate you need to send an SMS to the newspaper number (+39 340 43 11 759) answering the question: how many shows did Bruce play in Europe in ’75? (the answer is 4). In the message you have to put the answer in letters (quattro) plus the name of the city where you want to see Bruce (Bologna, Torino, Udine, Verona, Perugia, Caserta or Roma), then your first name and family name, all together and without any spaces in between words.

quattroromamagnusbjorg

Deadline is tonight, Wed. Sept. 27th at midnight (CET)

Bruce & band rehearse for upcoming Euro tour

Bruce Springsteen has been rehearsing these past three days with the Seeger Sessions Band at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park. Apparently there won’t be more rehearsals as Bruce left the building today saying «See you in Italy!» to band members.

These three rehearsals have featured a few new songs, mainly traditional tunes, plus a re-worked version of «The River» and the Scialfa-penned tune «Valerie».

If you wanna be spoiled and need to know every song they’ve rehearsed, then check the Concerts page..

Bruce, Southside, at private benefit concert last night

Once again Bruce Springsteen, plus Patti Scialfa, Southside Johnny & assorted musicians, performed at a secret benefit concert last night at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

Like they did in May, this was a school benefit, only this time it was for the Ranney School that one of Bruce’s kids attend. The show lasted over two hours, and it included a similar song list to the previous Rumson Country Day School benefits, with songs like «634-5789», «The Fever» and «Seven Nights to Rock».
