Bruce Springsteen has been elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences’ class of 2013. Along with Pete Seeger, Herbie Hancock, Robert De Niro and others, Bruce is one of the nine individuals selected for the «Performing Arts – Criticism and Practice» group at the Academy. The induction ceremony will be held at the Academy’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 12th.
Bruce has also been nominated for the 2013 Billboard Awards, in two categories: «Top Touring Artist» and «Top Rock Artist», in competition with Madonna, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Roger Waters and others. The awards ceremony will take place in Las Vegas, on May 19th.
