According to, a source close to Clarence Clemons has confirmed the veracity of the news, without giving details about his current status or whether or not he’s been hospitalized.

The news was first published in the celebrity website Showbiz411, which states that members of the E Street Band have been alerted to travel down to Florida «as soon as possible«. Veteran journalist Roger Friedman describes the situation of the musician as «pretty dire».
