Frank Stefanko readies new book of unreleased Springsteen photographs
Bruce Springsteen. Further On Up The Road is the new book by Frank Stefanko, to be published in November. And it is not just another book. It will feature the best photos taken by Frank Stefanko over the course of four decades, including unpublished pictures from sessions in 2004 and 2017.
Bruce Springsteen has written the introduction, and there’s also forewords by prestigious photographers Danny Clinch and Eric Meola.
Frank Stefanko’s photographs appear on the covers of the albums Chapter and Verse, Darkness on the Edge of Town and The River. The famous Corvette photo was also choosen as the cover of Springsteen’s 2016 memoir Born to Run. This will be Stefanko’s second book of Springsteen photographs, after 2003’s Days of Hope and Dreams.
The book, published by Wall of Sound, will consist of a limited run of 1978 copies. The deluxe edition (first 350 copies) will cost $630 and the remainder (collector’s edition) will cost $380.
