En el concierto de esta noche en París Bruce ha contado, como viene siendo habitual, con la presencia de Elliott Murphy en los bises, para cantar «Buffalo Gals». Otro invitado en la misma canción ha sido el neoyorquino Garland Jeffreys. El repertorio del concierto ha sido parecido al de los últimos conciertos pero ha contado con un estreno especial: la canción «Bring Them Home (If You Love Your Uncle Sam)», canción antibelicista escrita por Pete Seeger en 1966.

Ayer finalizó la gira inglesa con un concierto muy especial. En el pequeño recinto de la iglesia de Saint Luke Bruce Springsteen y la Seeger Sessions Band dieron un concierto privado ante unas 300 personas, todas ellas ganadoras de un concurso de la BBC. El concierto fue grabado y filmado para un especial de televisión de la cadena BBC2. Dicho concierto se emitirá por Radio 2 (de la BBC) el sábado 13 de mayo a las 21.00 horas (las 22.00 hora española) en el programa «Sold on Song». Por televisión se emitirá de momento un resumen de 20 minutos en el canal 4 de la BBC-TV (19 de mayo a las 23.00 hora española) y en el canal 2 de la BBC (21 de mayo, 00.30 horas de la madrugada).

El concierto fue posiblemente el más energético y espectacular de los tres, al ser en una iglesia del siglo XVIII y ante un público tan reducido, entre el que estaba Emmylou Harris. La noche anterior, en Londres, Bruce rememoró su primer concierto en Europa en tan magnífico teatro, y dio un enorme concierto ante un público entregado y entusiasta. Una memorable versión de «Long Black Veil» fue el punto culminante de la noche, junto a «How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times And Live» o una versión especialmente celebrada de «Pay Me My Money Down».

Ayer por la noche, Bruce Springsteen actuó en el club Stone Pony de Asbury Park, acompañado por la banda de Bobby Bandiera. Se trata del concierto benéfico que en los últimos años ha venido dando para los padres y alumnos del colegio Rumson Country Day School. Un grandísimo concierto de soul y rock’n’roll donde contó con la ayuda de Southside Johnny en algunas canciones.

Las nuevas fechas son: 19 de junio en Camden, New Jersey (junto a Philadelphia), y 20 de junio en Saratoga Springs, New York.

CORRECCION: Hoy martes 2 de mayo, Ticketmaster ha cambiado de nuevo las fechas. Camden vuelve a ser el 20 de junio. Por el contrario Saratoga Springs ha cambiado al día 19 de junio.
