Bruce to perform at USC Shoah Foundation gala

The USC Shoah Foundation has confirmed Bruce Springsteen will be musical performer at their 20th Anniversary gala, on May 7th in Los Angeles. Founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, the USC Shoah Foundation is «dedicated to making audio-visual interviews with survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides a compelling voice for education and action».

The Institute will recognize President Obama with the Ambassador for Humanity Award «for his global efforts to protect human rights, his commitment to education and expanding educational technology, and his work advancing opportunities for all people». Bruce Springsteen: A Photographic Journey

Since April 29th, the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma is hosting Bruce Springsteen: A Photographic Journey, an exhibit featuring the work of photographers Danny Clinch, Ed Gallucci, Eric Meola, Pamela Springsteen, Frank Stefanko, and Barry Schneier. The exhibition, with more than 40 prints displayed, has been curated by Robert Santelli, and includes photos from the famous show at the Hardvard Square Theatre that Jon Landau attended and prompted him to write his most famous line ever: I saw rock’n’roll future and its name is Bruce Springsteen.

The center is located at 102 East Brady St., Tulsa, OK 74103 (Tues – Sun 10am – 6pm, First Fridays till 9pm). The exhibit will be at the Guthrie Center until Spring 2015. Check out woodyguthriecenter.org for more details.
