The Springsteen bus stopped, indeed, at Wembley. Twice. Two excellent, solid performances with some surprises. On the first night, the debut of a newly written Springsteen song (still «a work in progress», as he indicated) called «Gonna Be A Long Walk Home». The show once again opened with the funky, very E-Street-Shufflesque version of «Blinded by the light», and closed with «Froggie Went-A-Courtin».
Second night had a few more surprises. A tour premiere («Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street?») and two rarities: «Land of Hope and Dreams» and «Man in the Flying Trapeze», both on the encores.
There’s a rumour flying around that the Dublin shows might be filmed for future release.
