Hoy os recomendamos dos páginas web que harán las delicias de los seguidores de la etapa clásica de Springsteen:
‘Rockin in Houston‘ recopila extraordinarias imágenes de todas las visitas del cantante a Houston, desde 1974 a 2013. El fotógrafo Bruce Kessler ha recopilado sus mejores fotos, junto a las de otros colegas fotógrafos de Houston como Larry Lent o James Townsend. El resultado es una interminable colección que nos lleva desde las primeras y mágicas actuaciones en clubs como el Liberty Hall hasta los teatros (Music Hall) y los pabellones (Sam Houston Coliseum o The Summit). Un fascinante recorrido a través de los años. Incluye también posters y entradas de las actuaciones.
‘Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at the Cleveland Agora in 1978: Vintage photos’ El sitio Cleveland.com dedica un artículo al concierto en el Agora Ballroom de agosto de 1978, recientemente editado por Springsteen (en su colección de descargas de archivo). En el artículo ofrecen también una espectacular galería de fotos de esa noche mítica, y entrevistan a su autor, el fotógrafo Bob Ferrell, afortunado de poder inmortalizar tal evento.
Rock’n’roll night in Houston
One more night to remember. Bruce Springsteen offered a high-intensity show in his return to Houston.
The opening «Seeds» set the tone for the night: tons of rock, with back to back versions of «Badlands» and «Adam Raised a Cain» plus «She’s The One», «Night» into «No Surrender», «Born to Run» into «Rosalita» or the duets with Texan singer-songwriter Joe Ely in the encore: «Great Balls of Fire» and «Lucille». Pure rock’n’roll.
There was also time for ballads and mid-tempo songs, with the tour debut of the superb «One Step Up», from Tunnel of Love, and a special version of «Backstreets» featuring a lengthy «Sad Eyes» interlude.
The surprise of the night was the premiere of «All Or Nothin ‘At All», from the forgotten Human Touch album, a song that has been played live 8 times only, all except one in 1992 (the last known version was from the show in Tampa in 2009).
