Uneven show in Viena, with Springsteen seemingly tired from the previous night’s show. The show didn’t seem to pick up steam until after «Spirit in the Night», when Bruce decided to play some sign requests (like «Rendezvous», «Trapped», «Empty Sky» and «Loose Ends»). However, the audience didn’t seem to get too excited, at least until «Shackled and Drawn» and «Waitin’ on A Sunny Day», this time followed by «Raise Your Hand» to keep up the pace.

«Tougher Than The Rest», played by Bruce solo at the piano, was the biggest surprise of the night, followed by the always magnificent «Racing in the Street». The audience really got into the show by encore time when all the hits arrived and hit them hard with «Born in the USA», «Born to Run», «Hungry Heart» or «Glory Days», ending the 3hr 39min show with «Twist and Shout».

El concierto en Viena se inició de forma irregular, con un Springsteen cansado y con voz quebrada, ante un público poco animado. No fue hasta pasado «Spirit in the Night», recurriendo a peticiones de carteles (como «Rendezvous», «Trapped», «Empty Sky» y «Loose Ends») cuando Bruce recuperó el camino y consiguió reanimar el concierto, consiguiendo motivar al graderío. Y la excitación general llegó con «Shackled and Drawn» y «Waitin’ on A Sunny Day», en esta ocasión seguidas de «Raise Your Hand», tema con el cual consiguió mantener el nivel de fiesta que empezaba a contagiarse por el estadio.

«Tougher Than The Rest», interpretada en solitario al piano, fue la sorpresa de la noche, seguida de la monumental «Racing in the Street». Pero cuando realmente se encendió el público de Viena fue durante los bises, cuando recibieron todos los éxitos que ansiaban (incluyendo «Hungry Heart» y «Glory Days») y Springsteen convirtió una actuación de trámite (actuar dos días seguidos no parece lo más adecuado para estar en plena forma) en un final épico con «Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out» y «Twist and Shout».

Another great night on the long and intense Wrecking Ball tour. Before an enthusiastic audience, with people from the Czech Republic and other nearby countries like Poland and Slovakia, Springsteen has delivered a 29-song set, 3-hr 20 minute show which has opened with the tour debut of  «The Ghost of Tom Joad» (solo acoustic) followed by both «Badlands» and «Prove it All Night».

Other highlights included «Candy’s Room» and «She’s the One», plus the tour debut of «This Hard Land», «Atlantic City», «Because the Night» and «My Love Will Not Let You Down».

Otra gran noche en esta larga e intensa gira Wrecking Ball. Ante un público entusiasmado, formado por gente de la República Checa, además de las vecinas Austria, Eslovaquia y Polonia, Springsteen ha tocado durante casi tres horas y media, estrenando «The Ghost of Tom Joad» (en formato acústico y abriendo el concierto), seguida de un duo infalible formado por «Badlands» y «Prove it All Night».

Más adelante llegaría de nuevo el rock de alto voltaje con «Candy’s Room» y «She’s the One», seguidas del estreno de «This Hard Land», y más rock con «Atlantic City», «Because the Night» y «My Love Will Not Let You Down».
