El próximo domingo 13 de mayo se inicia en Sevilla la gira europea, y la española, de Bruce Springsteen. En el estadio de La Cartuja se están efectuando ya las operaciones de montaje del enorme escenario que acogerá el concierto, según informan la página web y el twitter oficiales del estadio.

The first leg of the American tour closed with an extraordinary show full of surprises, premieres and strong performances. The show opened with «No Surrender», which lead the way of an intense show. Soon enough there were two tour premieres: «Bishop Danced», from Tracks, a song he hadn’t played live since 1973, and never (that we know) in a full band version. Next was a hot «It’s Hard to Be A Saint in the City», with its great guitar interplay between Bruce and Steven, and «Candy’s Room», «She’s the One», «Shackled and Drawn», a fantastic «by request» «Talk to Me» and two more surprises for the encores: The Band’s «The Weight», also by request, as a tribute to the late Levon
Helm, plus an unexpected «Rosalita» before the closing «Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out». Next stop: Sevilla, opening show of the Euro tour.
La primera parte de la gira americana finalizó con un concierto extraordinario, intenso y repleto de sorpresas, estrenos y temas de gran calibre. El concierto se inició con «No Surrender» y desde el inicio Springsteen mostró gran vitalidad y energía. Tras el preceptivo saludo a la ciudad, recordó que en la misma nacieron Max Weinberg y el escritor Philip Roth. Nuevamente Patti no estuvo presente en este concierto. Los estrenos de la noche fueron muy especiales: «Bishop Danced», canción que no tocaba desde 1973 (una versión en directo de esa época se incluye en la caja Tracks) y que interpretó por primera vez con toda la banda. Le siguió una tempestuosa «It’s Hard to Be A Saint in the City», con un gran duelo de guitarras en su tramo final.
El concierto ganó intensidad con «Candy’s Room», «She’s the One» y «Shackled and Drawn», en un concierto en constante ascenso, con una enorme versión de «Talk to Me» (a petición del público), y dos sorpresa más en los bises: «The Weight», la fantástica canción de The Band, en homenaje al fallecido Levon Helm (batería del grupo), un auténtico clásico que cantó el pabellón al completo, y una inesperada «Rosalita», antes de terminar el show con «Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out». Próxima parada: Sevilla, punto de arranque de la gira europea.
