Nils Lofgren, the virtuous guitar player in The E Street Band, will release a new album on December 6th. «Old School» features contributions from Paul Rodgers, Lou Gramm and Sam Moore. Bruce Springsteen sang 4 songs last Saturday at Sting’s 60th Anniversary concert, held at the Beacon Theatre in New York. In this star-studded event (with Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Rufus Wainwright and others), Bruce played «I Hung my Head» with the house band, followed by an acoustic version of «Fields of Gold», that sounded more Springsteenesque than ever.
Then Sting joined Bruce for the classic «Can’t Stand Losing You», plus the all-star jam with «Every Breath you Take» and the inevitable «Happy Birthday» to Sting.
Bruce Springsteen se unió a la celebración del 60 aniversario de Sting en el teatro Beacon de Nueva York. En un evento repleto de estrellas (Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Rufus Wainwright o el propio Sting), Springsteen tuvo el papel protagonista hacia el final del concierto, cuando interpretó «I Hung my Head» con la banda de la noche, seguida de una versión acústica de «Fields of Gold», adaptada al más puro estilo Springsteeniano.
A continuación Sting subió al escenario para cantar el clásico «Can’t Stand Losing You» con Bruce, y acabar la fiesta con «Every Breath you Take» cantada con el resto de artistas, y la inevitable «Happy Birthday». La recaudación del concierto iba destinada a la asociación Robin Hood, para luchar contra la pobreza.
