Elvis Costello dedicará dos programas a Springsteen

El programa de televisión «Spectacle», dirigido por Elvis Costello para la cadena Sundance Channel, ha anunciado los contenidos de las emisiones de su nueva temporada. El 9 de diciembre se emite el primer programa, dedicado a Bono y The Edge the U2. Cada semana se emitirá un nuevo episodio, donde actuarán artistas de la talla de Sheryl Crow, Lyle Lovett, John Prine, Ron Sexsmith, Neko Case, Jesse Winchester, Ray LaMontagne, Nick Lowe, Levon Helm, Richard Thompson o Allen Toussaint.

El pasado 25 de septiembre Springsteen grabó su aparición en «Spectacle», en el teatro Apollo de Nueva York. Fueron casi 4 horas de entrevista, aderezada con interpretaciones en directo de numerosas canciones de toda su carrera, incluyendo piezas tan variadas como «Point Blank», «Wild Billy’s Circus Story», «Galveston bay», «Seeds», «Brilliant Disguise» o «She’s the One». La sesión fue tan larga que finalmente Costello emitirá dos programas enteros (de 1 hora de duración cada uno) dedicados a Bruce Springsteen.
