22 de noviembre: último concierto de la E Street Band
Al menos, por una temporada. En las entrevistas publicadas en Billboard y Live Daily, Steve Van Zandt afirma que no habrá más conciertos con la E Street Band durante un tiempo:
«Nos tomaremos… no sé cuánto tiempo -quizá un año, una año y medio, dos años. Hasta este momento hemos trabajado mucho, y es fantástico».
Sobre el posible regreso futuro de la banda, Van Zandt no precisa:
«Nunca se sabe. Podría ser el último concierto, o la última gira. Nunca se sabe. Hacemos cada concierto como si fuera el último. Pero no esperes. Si quieres vernos, ven ahora. Es un buen momento para vernos».
Nils Lofgren también ha hablado al respecto:
«Por lo que sé, acabaremos hacia el día de Acción de Gracias, y eso será todo por el momento. Desde que me uní al grupo hace 25 años mi experiencia es que al final de una gira -por ejemplo la de Born in the USA- nunca hay planes. Vuelvo a mi trabajo en solitario, escribo canciones y sigo con mi carrera musical. Y si hay otro proyecto y cuentan conmigo, será un honor para mí formar parte».
Todo apunta a que 2010 será un año de descanso, sin gira, y Springsteen podría aprovecharlo para grabar nuevas canciones y culminar otros proyectos (como la esperadísima caja de aniversario del álbum Darkness on the Edge of Town) en los que lleva tiempo trabajando.
16 septiembre: Greenville
Extraordinario concierto anoche en Greenville. Springsteen desplegó todas sus cualidades en un concierto enérgico y pletórico, conteniendo los estrenos del clásico de los Rolling Stones «Satisfaction» (nunca antes tocada en directo con la E Street Band, aunque sí en los ensayos para la gira de 1978), y de la fabulosa «Double Shot of My Baby’s Love», en esta ocasión acompañado de sus autores, los mismísimos Swingin’ Medallions, quienes compartieron el escenario con Springsteen y la E Street Band.
Jay Weinberg fue el batería para este concierto, iniciado con «Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out», y que incluyó también versiones de «Ramrod» y «This Hard Land» (peticiones del público), «Atlantic City», «Backstreets», «Detroit Medley» y «Glory Days».
El set list original incluía una auténtica joya: «Wreck on the Highway», del álbum The River, finalmente no interpretada al ser sustituida por «Atlantic City».

Sept. 16: Satisfaction in Greenville
Tremendous show in Greenville last night. Springsteen and the band delivered a fantastic concert (with Jay on drums once again), where they played the first ever live E Street Band performance of the classic Rolling Stones tune «Satisfaction» (previously performed only at a private rehearsal for the 1978 tour), plus «Double Shot of My Baby’s Love», this time with the very own Swingin’ Medallions onstage with The E Street Band, a historic moment and one of the highlights of the show.
The show kicked off with «Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out», and also included «Ramrod» and «This Hard Land» (both sign requests), «Atlantic City», «Backstreets», «Detroit Medley» and «Glory Days».
The original handwritten set list had a great surprise: «Wreck on the Highway», a gem off The River, finally not performed and substituted by «Atlantic City».
