Hershey
Joe and Johnny Grushecky were Bruce’s guests last night at the show in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Bruce and the Grusheckys closed the show with a version of Van Morrison’s classic «Gloria» («let’s take it back where it all started», said Bruce).
There were two more tour debuts at this outdoor show: the rare «Part Man Part Monkey» (not performed with the band since 1988) and John Lee Hooker’s «Boom Boom», both being some of the numerous sign requests Bruce collected («we have created a monster!», he joked about the signs).

Springsteen invita a Joe Grushecky en Hershey
En el concierto de ayer en Hershey, Pennsylvania, Springsteen invitó a Joe Grushecky y su hijo Johnny a cantar la última canción con él: una versión del clásico «Gloria» de Van Morrison. «Volvamos a donde todo empezó» dijo Springsteen antes de acabar el show con una trepidante versión de la canción.
Tres horas antes el concierto había empezado con otro clásico del rock, «Summertime Blues». Fue una noche de estrenos, con «Part Man Part Monkey» (cara B del single «Human Touch» en 1992) y «Boom Boom» (de John Lee Hooker), ambas solicitadas a través de los numerosísimos carteles que Bruce recogió del público («hemos creado un monstruo!», dijo bromeando mientras acumulaba carteles con peticiones de todo tipo). El de ayer fue un concierto de estadio, más orientado al rock y a canciones más populares como «Darlington County», «Waitin’ on a Sunny Day» o «Working on the Highway». El jueves la gira vuelve a pabellones, con un concierto en Nashville, cuna del country.
