Ayer en Ottawa Springsteen invitó a Win Butler y Régine Chassagne (ambos miembros fundadores del conocido grupo canadiense Arcade Fire) a su concierto. En la tanda de bises compartieron escenario con la E Street Band para cantar «State Trooper» (una canción que Arcade Fire ha tocado en ocasiones en sus conciertos) y «Keep the Car Running» (del álbum Neon Bible, de Arcade Fire. El concierto tuvo otros dos estrenos: «Tougher than the rest» y «Backstreets».
Esta noche Springsteen y la E Street Band darán su segundo concierto en Canadá, en Toronto.

Según informa Backstreets.com, Springsteen se unió, sin previo aviso y por sorpresa, al concierto benéfico «Kick Up Your Paws», el pasado sábado en la finca de Max Weinberg en New Jersey. Max organizó este concierto a beneficio de la asociación Monmouth County SPCA, para luchar contra el maltrato a los animales.
Al final del concierto Bruce Springsteen subió al escenario para tocar con la banda de Max (The Max Weinberg Seven) y cantaron «Seven Nights to Rock», «634-5789», «From Small Things», «Kansas City», «Tenth Avenue Freeze-out» y «Twist and Shout» para los 500 afortunados presentes. El concierto estaba dedicado a la memoria de Terry Magovern.
This has been a busy weekend, both for Bruce Springsteen and Max Weinberg. First, they both performed last saturday at a benefit concert in Middletown, New Jersey. The show, organized by Max for the Montmouth County SPCA, featured the Max Weinberg Seven plus, at the end of the show, special guest Bruce Springsteen. The songs performed with Bruce were «Seven Nights to Rock», «634-5789», «From Small Things», «Kansas City», «Tenth Avenue Freeze-out» and «Twist and Shout», in front of 500 people. The show was dedicated to the memory of Terry Magovern.
On Sunday, Bruce was back on his Magic tour with the E Street Band, in the city of Ottawa, Canada. The show included 4 tour debuts; «Tougher than the rest», «Backstreets», plus a special surprise during encore time: two members of indie band Arcade Fire joined onstage for «State Trooper» (a song the canadian band has performed in concert) and «Keep the Car Running» (from Arcade Fire’s latest album Neon Bible).
