BRUCE GETS 5 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS
For the 48th Grammy Awards Bruce has been nominated in 5 different categories:

Song of the Year, for "Devils & Dust".
Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance, for "Devils & Dust".
Best Rock Song, for "Devils & Dust".
Best Contemporary Folk Album, for "Devils & Dust".
Best Long Form Music Video, for "Devils & Dust" directed by Danny Clinch.

Question: best rock song in the best contemporary folk album? These Grammy people are very funny.

YOUR VOTES COUNT! PICK THE ALL-TIME FAVORITE BRUCE MAGAZINE COVERS
A note from the Friends of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection:
Over the last 32 years, Bruce Springsteen has appeared on more than 750 commercial magazine covers published around the world. There's some breathtaking photography there, and lined up chronologically, the covers dramatically illustrate the power and passion of the man and his music.

It is our pleasure, from here at The Friends of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection, to announce an election to decide the 25 all-time favorite fan covers from a list of 50 finalists. Voting opens on Dec. 1 and concludes on Jan. 7, 2006. During that time, we invite you to check out the finalists, selected by an international panel of experts, and to vote for as many as 10 of your favorites. (We deliberately left out of this election the Bruce fanzines; who would want to make that choice?)

You'll find a link to the election at www.friendsofthespringsteencollection.org . Winners will be announced on the web home of the Springsteen Special Collection (http://www.asburyparklibrary.org/Bruce.htm ) and on Backstreets.com on Thursday Jan. 12.
