Bruce Springsteen and Chris Martin substituted for Bono last night at U2’s show at Times Square in New York City. The show was a benefit for the World AIDS Day. Bono couldn’t perform as he’s still recovering from his recent bicycle accident.
Kanye West and Carrie Underwood opened, then U2 took the stage and Bruce joined them for two of the bands’ classics: “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”.
The show can be seen online at Youtube (Bruce’s performance begins at 37:22).
