Bruce premieres “Linda Let Me Be The One” in Florida

After a spectacular performance in Atlanta, Springsteen offered a surprising setlist in his first of two shows in Florida.

The concert in Sunrise featured 4 tour premieres, including the first ever live performance of “Linda Let Me Be The One”, a song written in 1975 for Born to Run but left off the album and only released in 1998 in the Tracks box set. Bruce stopped it mid-song and re-started it, after saying “See, I told you we never played this before!”.

“I Wanna Marry You” (in a solo acoustic version), John Lee Hooker’s “Boom Boom” and “Hearts of Stone” were the other tour premieres.

“The River”, “Save My Love” and “Prove it All Night” (with ’78 intro) were highlights in a show where Bruce, once again, skipped “Waitin’ On a Sunny Day”. “Highway To Hell” was the first encore, and both the exquisite “The Wall” and “Thunder Road” closed the show.
