Springsteen plays for Autism Speaks

At Carnegie Hall, Bruce Springsteen and Jerry Seinfeld performed last night for ‘Autism Speaks‘. Springsteen was onstage for about 20 minutes and sang 4 songs with his acoustic guitar.

El Carnegie Hall fue el escenario de la actuación de Bruce Springsteen y el popular cómico Jerry Seinfeld. Springsteen tocó cuatro canciones acústicas para este evento dedicado a recaudar fondos para la fundación ‘Autism Speaks‘.

Un concierto fantástico, según los asistentes al mismo nos comentan. Mucha energía y grandes canciones. Para empezar, “Cadillac Ranch” seguida de “Badlands” abriendo el show y marcando la pauta del mismo. Una vez más, Born to Run de cabo a rabo, con grandes versiones de “Backstreets” o “Jungleland”, además de un fabuloso conjunto de peticiones de los fans, que incluyen “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, “Loose Ends”, “Jole Blon” y “Growin ‘Up”.

Bruce bromeó con el nombre del estado de nuevo, refiriéndose a Ohio (en lugar de Wisconsin) durante el speech de “Working on a dream”: “Buenas noches, Wisconsin, Ohio… ehhh… la he cagado de nuevo! Estoy otra vez con la medicación!”. El niño que subió a cantar en “Waitin ‘on a sunny day” le pidió a Bruce las baquetas de Max, y las consiguió. “Into the Fire” apareció justo antes de “The Rising”, y la parte principal del concierto terminó con “No Surrender”.

Los bises trajeron más sorpresas: la estupenda y poco frecuente “Living Proof”, seguida de un largo “Kitty’s Back” y, a continuación, “American Land”, “Dancing”, “Rosalita” y “Higher and Higher”. En “Dancing in the Dark”, una chica mostró un letrero pidiendo bailar con Steve. Bruce la subió al escenario y bailó con Steve, mientras Bruce bromeaba sobre ello.

A fantastic show, according to all accounts. Lots of energy and great songs. To begin with, “Cadillac Ranch” into “Badlands” to open and set the tone for the night. Once again, Born to Run from top to bottom, with great versions of “Backstreets” or “Jungleland”, plus a fabulous set of sign requests that included “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, “Loose Ends”, “Jolè Blon” and “Growin’ Up”.

Bruce joked with the State name again, saying during the “Working on a dream” speech: “Good evening, Ohio… er Wisconsin… I’m just fuckin’ with ya. I’m back on my meds!”. The kid singing on “Waitin’ on a sunny day” requested Bruce for one of Max’s drumsticks, and got it. “Into the Fire” showed up right before “The Rising”, and the main set ended with “No Surrender”.

The encores brought more: the rarely performed “Living Proof”, by request, followed by a long “Kitty’s Back”, then “American Land”, “Dancing”, “Rosalita” and “Higher and Higher”. During “Dancing in the Dark” a lady showed a sign asking to dance with Steve. She was taken onstage and danced with Steve while Bruce was joking about it.

The last show: Greetings from Asbury Park

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform the album Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. during their concert in Buffalo, NY, on November 22, the final date of their 2009 Working on a Dream tour.

Released in January, 1973, Greetings marked Springsteen’s debut as a recording artist; it is the first time this album will be performed in its entirety. Bruce and the band have performed the albums The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle, Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River and Born in the USA during their fall tour.

La última noche: “Greetings from Asbury Park”

El misterio del último concierto de la gira se ha desvelado hoy: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band tocarán él álbum Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ al completo en el concierto del Buffalo del próximo domingo 22 de noviembre.

Esa noche se podrán escuchar todas las canciones del disco con el que Springsteen debutó en 1973, incluyendo “The Angel”, una canción de la cual solo se conoce una interpretación en directo (durante la gira acústica de 1996).
