Springsteen to release new “Greatest Hits” package

On January 13th Bruce Springsteen will release another compilation album titled “Greatest Hits”. But this time it is a 12-track album of songs recorded with The E Street Band (who are credited on the cover) which will be exclusively sold thru Wal-Mart in the United Stated.Despite the coincidence in the album’s title, this new compilation features a totally new and unique cover photo, with Bruce sitting on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Nuevo “Greatest Hits” exclusivo para Wal-Mart
22 diciembre, 2008El 13 de enero Bruce Springsteen edita un nuevo recopilatorio titulado “Greatest Hits”. En esta ocasión se trata de un disco exclusivo para la cadena de supermercados Wal-Mart en Estados Unidos. Aunque repite título, esta compilación incluye 12 canciones grabadas con la E Street Band y una portada totalmente distinta a la del conocido “Greatest Hits” editado en 1995. En esta ocasión la E Street Band aparece mencionada también en la portada. El disco sólo se venderá en los establecimientos de dicha cadena en Estados Unidos.Contenidos “Greatest Hits” Wal-Mart:

Springsteen at Bonnaroo?

Though no official tour dates have been announced for 2009, rumours are spreading fast about possible Springsteen concerts in summer festivals. According to Rolling Stone Bruce will perform at Bonnaroo on its closing night. Other sources take for granted Springsteen and the E Street Band will play at Bonnaroo. Phish are said to headline the festival on two consecutive nights. The festival is held in Manchester, Tennessee from June 11th to 14th. -

18 diciembre, 2008A pesar de que la gira 2009 no ha sido anunciada aún, empiezan a aparecer rumores sobre posibles conciertos de Bruce Springsteen y la E Street Band en festivales de verano. Según la web de la revista Rolling Stone el festival Bonnaroo podría ser uno de ellos. Diversas fuentes consultadas dan por seguro que Springsteen tocará en dicho festival entre el 11 y el 14 de junio. Phish es otro de los artistas que serán cabeza de cartel en este festival, uno de los más importantes de Estados Unidos, que se celebrará en Manchester, Tennessee. -

Working on a Dream samples at Amazon
15 diciembre, 2008Amazon offers 30 seconds of each song off the new album Working on a Dream, to be released January 27th 2009. The samples are short but you can get an idea of the sounds on the new album.
Meanwhile the song “The Wrestler”, which Bruce wrote for the film of the same name, has been nominated as “Best original song- Motion Picture” for a Golden Globe award. The awards ceremony will be aired live on NBC on January 11th, 2009.

Escucha las canciones de “Working on a Dream”
15 diciembre, 2008La web de la tienda Amazon ofrece 30 segundos de cada una de las canciones del álbum Working on a Dream.

El nuevo disco se publicará el 27 de enero de 2008 (el 26 en Europa) y en su edición “deluxe” incluye un DVD con 38 minutos filmados durante las sesiones de grabación del disco, incluyendo tomas acústicas y ensayos de algunas de las canciones del disco.
La canción “The Wrestler”, escrita por Springsteen para la banda sonora de la película homónima e incluida como “bonus track” en el nuevo disco, ha sido nominada a los premios Golden Globe como “Mejor Canción original de una película”. Los premios se entregarán el 11 de enero en una ceremonia que será retrasmitida por la cadena de televisión NBC.
Y hoy se cumplen treinta años de este histórico concierto, mientras esperamos que algún día vea la luz un DVD con un concierto de la gira Darkness on the Edge of Town:
