Hear ‘The Wrestler’
21 noviembre, 2008Thanks to the trailer from the movie “The Wrestler” we can now hear a good part of one of the songs that will be included in the brand new Bruce Springsteen album “Working on a dream”.
The album will be released January 27th and will also be available in a “deluxe” edition which will include a DVD with 30 minutes of ‘Tour highlights’ (apparently from the Magic tour).
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band won two “Billboard Touring Awards“ last night in New York City. Springsteen and his band won for “Top Tour” and “Top Draw” for the Magic tour, and Jon Landau got the “Top Manager” award.

Avance del nuevo disco de Bruce Springsteen
21 noviembre, 2008Gracias al trailer promocional de la película “The Wrestler” podemos escuchar una buena porción de la canción del mismo título, incluida en el próximo álbum de Bruce Springsteen “Working on a dream”.
El nuevo disco se editará el 27 de enero y estará disponible también en versión “deluxe” conteniendo un DVD con 30 minutos de imágenes de conciertos, presumiblemente de la gira Magic.
Ayer se entregaron en Nueva York los premios “Billboard Touring Awards“. Springsteen y la E Street Band vencieron en dos categorías incluyendo “Mejor Gira del Año” (por ‘Magic’) y Jon Landau consiguió el premio a “Mejor Mánager del Año”.

Bruce Springsteen’s new album ‘Working on a Dream’ has been set for January 27 release on Columbia Records. ‘Working on a Dream’ was recorded with the E Street Band and features twelve new Springsteen compositions plus two bonus tracks. It is the fourth collaboration between Springsteen and Brendan O’Brien, who produced and mixed the album.

‘Working on a Dream’ is Bruce Springsteen’s twenty-fourth album and was recorded and mixed at Southern Tracks in Atlanta, GA with additional recording in New York City, Los Angeles, and New Jersey.

Después del atropellado estreno de la canción “Working on a dream” en un programa deportivo de la cadena NBC, se acaba de emitir un comunicado oficial anunciando el nuevo disco. Lo que sigue es una traducción de la nota de prensa oficial (donde no se habla de gira por el momento):

El nuevo disco de Bruce Springsteen, ‘Working on a Dream’, se editará en Columbia Records el 27 de enero. ‘Working on a Dream’ se grabó con la E Street Band e incluye doce nuevas canciones junto a dos temas extras. Es la cuarta colaboración entre Springsteen y Brendan O’Brien, quienes han producido y mezclado el disco.

“Working on a dream” debut on NBC
17 noviembre, 2008Believe it or not this is a new Bruce Springsteen song. In the middle of the audience’s roar and the player’s screams you can hear less than a minute of “Working on a dream”, the new song from Bruce’s new… well, we don’t know if it’s part of a new album, a TV program or a special project, because no info at all was given anywhere. Not on TV last night, not on the official website, not thru a press release. A minute of new Springsteen music mixed with football images and some screaming. Art and sports mixed to promote… “something”. The new song from an artist who refused millions of dollars to have one of his songs on a TV commercial, and now debuts a little piece of a new song in the midst of a football game. In our opinion, not a good way to show art.
